QuatroServe Case Study

Detritor Access
Foley Park, Kidderminster

DESIGN CRITERIA:

Existing access to detritor in 20ft deep pit was via a single vertical ladder with no protection against slipping or falling. Regular inspection was required and the access method fell outside the client's company rules (not to mention Health and Safety legislation).

SCOPE OF SUPPLY:

Quatroserve designed a safer means of access without having to modify the structure and without interruption to the operation of the plant.

The result is a free-standing access staircase in a dual flight configuration using 34/100 openwork stair treads onto 34/100 openwork landings with tubular handrails throughout. The whole assembly is galvanised to BS EN 1SO 1481 whilst the openwork complies with BS EN ISO 14122 Part 1-3 2001.
